FALL WEIGH CLASSES FOR ALL AGES

Anderson Hills Pediatrics, Inc. is excited to announce that Ann Rooney, R.D., L.D., M.Ed., our nutritionist, will be conducting three different WEIGHT MANAGEMENT CLASSES for different age groups. The emphasis will be on developing and maintaining good eating habits. MANAGING YOUR TODDLER'S DIET AND WEIGHT
• Wednesday October 13th, 2010
• 7 p.m. - 8 p.m.
• Cost $10
TOPICS
• Nutritional Needs of a Toddler
• Feeding a Finicky Eater
• Signs of an Overweight Child
• Signs of Hunger vs. Appetite
• The effects of poor nutrition and obesity on a child’s health
• The psychological aspects of developing good eating habits feeding a busy family
WEIGHT MANAGEMENT CLASS for CHILDREN 6 – 12 YEARS OLD
Session I
(Every Monday Night)
• Date September 27th - November 15th
• Time 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
• Cost $55
• Eight week Introduction Course. Minimum of 5 students/class and a Maximum of 10 students/class
• Weekly weight checks and Weekly goals established
Class 1 and 5 are for parents only - Class 2,3,4,6 and 7 for children only
Class 8 for both children and parents

• Why food is important and which foods make the body healthy
• Food preferences
• Personalizing a diet Plan for Life
• Exercise and Weight Management
• The effect of environmental cues on weight management
• Using various psychological techniques to control dietary intake
• Eating on the run
• Social eating
EIGHT MANAGEMENT CLASS for TEENAGERS 13 – 21 years old
Session I
(Every Tuesday Night)
• Date September 28th - November 16th
• Time 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
• Cost $55
• Eight week Introduction Course. Minimum of 5 students/class and a Maximum of 20 students/class
• Weekly, All students are weighed and height measured
Students keep food diaries that are assessed weekly
Class 1 Parents are invited for the first 30 minutes
